Course Description:
This course begins with a brief review of mind and its functions, or mental events, followed by a detailed phenomenological account of causes and results from the Abhidharma and the presentation of the twelve links of dependent origination which is Buddha’s response to the perennial questions of where we came from, where we are now, and where we are heading. There will also be a discussion of the Path of Special Insight and the four applications of mindfulness.
