Governance of the Institute

Nitartha Institute is a division of Nitartha International. The President of Nitartha International, The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, is also President of the Institute. He provides guidance on issues related to the overall development and direction of the Institute. Acharya Lama Tenpa Gyaltsen is Vice President and assists Ponlop Rinpoche with the overall guidance of the Institute.

Day-to-day decision making and implementation occur in the Directors Council. Directors have direct personal responsibility for decisions within their specific domains, and there is a principle of shared leadership for major decisions. The Council provides the overall administrative leadership for the Institute and its volunteer staff.

The Nitartha Institute Advisory Board shares responsibility with the Directors Council for holding and forwarding the vision of the Institute. In addition the Board provides accountability for the Directors and assesses their activities in fulfilling the vision.
