BUD 530 Mind & Its World IV

Prerequisites: BUD 501 (Mind & Its World 1) and BUD 502 (Clear Thinking)

BUD 701 Madhyamakavatara II (Part II)

Faculty: recordings of teachings by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche and weekly classes taught by Dr. Phil Stanley

This is Part 2 of BUD 701 Madhyamakāvatāra II (Chapter 6 on prajña, Tverses 6.24 – 6.47).

Course opens Friday January 23 with students reviewing materials before the first class. Classes will be held Saturdays January 30 through May 2, 2021, 10:00–11:00am Mountain Standard Time (UTC-7:00).

For this course, you should have the following texts:

  • Commentary on the Entrance to the Middle Way (Madhyamakavatara) Chapter 6, Part One, by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche (1998) Nitartha Institute Publications
  • The Karmapa’s Middle Way: Feast for the Fortunate, A Commentary on Chandrakirti’s Madhyamakāvatāra by Wangchuk Dorje, translated by Tyler Dewar, 2008 Snow Lion Publications (This text is also available as an e-book)

Payment Plan and Financial Assistance (PPFA)

Nitartha Institute aims to allow access to our programs by everyone who is interested in attending our classes. Therefore, we established the Payment Plan and Financial Assistance (PPFA), which is supported by Nitartha Institute students to help fellow students in need. PPFA offers those students a tuition discount and/or a payment plan with installment payments over a maximum of 12 months.
