MORE ABOUT DEBATE I:

Watch a short video by the instructor about debate as a lab, as an analytical meditation with a partner

From one of our students:
Debate is like a high-level mental agility game. It is challenging and fun. It breaks through your habitual mental habits, opening up your discernment and your perception of the world. Debate sharpens your intellect and enhances your understanding of dharma. It is a practice of cutting through your conceptual mind in creative surprising ways. On top of it all, it can be a bridge to establish new relationships and find new friends. What else can you ask for?

These are experiences I personally had when taking the debate course at Nitartha. Try it out for yourself!

Nitartha Institute aims to provide access to our programs by everyone who is interested in attending our classes. Therefore, we established the Financial Assistance Program, which is supported by Nitartha Institute students to help fellow students who would not be able to attend Nitartha courses without this assistance. The program provides discounts on tuition and Nitartha texts for courses for which students are registered. Payment plans can also be arranged.

To apply for financial assistance or a payment plan, please first submit an application (click here). Once your request is reviewed, we will send you information about how to register. Please allow up to 5 days for processing.

If you’re inspired by this project, please consider donating to our Financial Assistance Program below.

We also invite you to make a donation to Nitartha’s general operating fund. This will help us to keep Nitartha running smoothly all year long as we plan and implement courses, programs and Publications projects. It also helps us to reach out to more people so they can connect with the precious opportunities to receive teachings and meditation instructions from Nitartha’s exceptional faculty.
